Lectures and Workshops
An important part of my practice is making contemporary jewelry more accessible to different audiences. I do this through lectures, workshops, curatorial tours, and public programmes developed for museums, cultural institutions, communities, schools, and private groups.
Presented as part of the exhibition FALAK: Song of Water and Earth during the Regional Ecological Summit 2026, this series of workshops focused on material reuse through contemporary jewelry.
Using surplus materials from the garment industry, participants transformed metal zippers and felt into wearable object.

Created in collaboration with LikeMinded Foundation, this workshop invited participants to create a community brooch as a shared symbol. Working with metal zippers and beads in a common colour palette, each participant developed a personal interpretation of the same idea.
The workshop explored how jewelry can express belonging, shared values, and collective identity while remaining individual and handmade.

During exhibitions, I lead public lectures and curatorial tours, introducing visitors to contemporary jewelry through the works on display. For many, these tours offer a first encounter with the field and an opportunity to see jewelry not simply as an accessory, but as a form of artistic expression.
The tours are designed as open conversations. Together, we discuss the materials, the artists’ ideas, and the themes explored through their work.

The Object, 2025 For the exhibition The Object at EFES Art Space in Almaty, I led a series of exhibition tours offering visitors a deeper look into the works on display. Together, we explored the ideas behind each piece, the artists’ choice of materials, and the stories that shaped their work.

Together, we explore how wearable art can make abstract ideas tangible—transforming research, data, and lived experience into objects that can be seen, touched, worn, and experienced.
Talk These events bring together artists, researchers, educators, and professionals from different fields around the themes explored by each exhibition. Depending on the project, conversations may focus on environmental sustainability, gender data, public health, social issues, or other topics explored through contemporary jewelry and wearable art.

TIREK As part of the public program for the TIREK exhibition, organised in partnership with UN Women Kazakhstan, we held a series of workshops, public talks, and lectures exploring how wearable art can open conversations about gender data, equality, and social change.
The public talks brought together artists, researchers, human rights advocates, lawyers, and representatives of civil society. Together, we discussed not only the research behind the data, but also how statistics can be translated into material form—making complex social issues more visible, tangible, and open to conversation through wearable art.
